シカゴブースの設立は古く、1898年に遡ります。その後、1916年に大学院プログラムとして認定されて以来、多くの卒業生を輩出しています。ほとんどの権威ある定期刊行物（FT, TIMES etc..)において Top 10 にランキングされており、U.S. News and World Report 2023　ではNo.1 となっています。

通常の2年制プログラムは、フルタイム 21ヶ月プログラムとなっています。今年は、5,037 人が出願し、そこから620名を合格者として絞り込みました。シカゴブースの大きな特徴はカリキュラム履修の柔軟性にあります。他のスクールであれば、2nd year の専門科目を履修できるように、1年目からそれに合わせてrequirementとなっている科目を取らなければなりません。また、特にLEAD に力を入れています。有機的に全てがinterconnect している近代ビジネスに対応すべく、柔軟性だけではなく、multidisciplinary curriculum としてプログラムが構成されています。
